How do you have greater vision for your business?
How do you take that vision to the streets? That is, how do you execute the vision.
In developing a strategy for your business or franchise, I focus on these 3 things:
- Focus on the things that you CAN change.
- Focus on things you HAVE changed but can now set aside to see how it goes. These are things you can’t influence anymore, so set them aside for a few days. This could be a proposal you’ve already submitted and now need to wait on a response. Or, it could be a business team you’ve put together and now you need to sit back and watch how they perform.
- Identify the things you CAN’T change – and disregard them.
As business leaders, if you can focus on what you can change, set aside the things you’ve already changed, and disregard what you can’t change then you’ll have time to create your business vision.
